First on their agenda was snow angels. They wanted to make them on the driveway before everyone stepped on the fresh snow and messed it up.
Bo was bundled up and ready to play too! We were laughing at the snowsuit Kaybird and Big Paw Paw gave him at Christmas, but it sure did come in handy today, and it was just big enough to keep his hands warm inside.
I put him in this little sled to take his picture, and he started falling backwards. His snowsuit was so padded that he could barely move, and this next picture just cracks me up!
And then he was flat on his back, with no way to roll over or sit back up! He didn't seem to mind, which worked out perfectly since Rob and I were laughing hysterically watching him squirm around. Does that make us bad parents?
The little ladies were finished with their snow angels, and just giddy as they ran around the yard.
Apparently snow brings out silly faces in Bethany!
See what I mean?
And then a snowball fight broke out.
Rob had shoveled the steps, and piled all of the snow up beside the garage. He was being sneaky while the girls were playing, and all of a sudden they were getting pelted with little snowballs.
Bethany got smart and hid behind a tree in the yard. She kept poking her head out, taunting Rob with, "You can't get me!". She would wait for him to throw a snowball at her, and then run off to grab it and throw it back at him.
Brooke snagged the sled, and used it as a shield.
And then she noticed Bethany's strategy, and started collecting snowballs too. They had a nice pile beside the tree, and started attacking Rob!
And she didn't want me to be left out, so she made sure to throw a snowball my way!
Bo skipped the snowball fight, and hung out in the sled. He worked hard to wiggle a few fingers out, and was trying to touch the snow.
A little more work, and he had a knee up...his plan to escape the sled was working!
And there goes a foot...so close!
Success! If only he could move well enough in that snowsuit to roll over and sit back up!
We were freezing by this poing (Rob wasn't wearing any winter gear) so we headed in the house...except for Brooke, who insisted she needed to shovel the sidewalk.
She worked for about 15 minutes, and got a lot of the snow cleared. I was impressed that she could lift the loaded shovel-that thing is heavy!
She was proud of the HUGE snowball she made!
I finally convinced her to come inside, and the girls sat down for some snowman soup (fancy hot chocolate).
What a fun morning in the snow! And the best part, the sun came out this afternoon and the driveway and road are totally clear. That is my kind of snow!

Looks like a fun day. I see the van still hasn't made it into the garage....
Looks like you guys had a lot of fun! The girls look happy which is a good sign that they are making it an easy transition for you and Rob! I've been praying for you all. Im sure your all settled in at home, but I hope that you get settled in that area quite soon as well. :) Love you guys!
I admit I am a little jealous! Looks like fun. And I am cracking up at your captions of sweet little Bo, so I can only imagine how hilarious it was in real life!
